Governor Eric Holcomb has extended his executive order requiring Indiana residents remain in their homes until April 20th except when they are at work or for permitted activities.
The following local measures are in place:
Town Hall and all departments remain open, but in-person visits are closed to the public.
The Social Services Division of the Griffith Police Department and the Director of Griffith’s Senior Center have been making many well-being calls to our senior citizens and those with special needs. If any resident has a special need, or a need for hunger relief, please call (219)-924-1405 so that a member of our staff can return your call.
Many Griffith restaurants remain open for carry-out and delivery. A full listing is available on the Town of Griffith’s website.
The Griffith Police Department has made modifications. The most significant is the closure of the police station for all non-emergency reporting and inquiries.
Emergency calls should be reported by dialing 911. Non-emergency calls should be reported to (219) 660-0000.
All public parks and trails are open but large groups are prohibited and social distancing is required. All playgrounds are closed.
The Town of Griffith and all departments are dedicated to serve our citizens and we wish everyone well.
Please follow the directives that have been put into place so that we can all get through this as quickly as possible.
If you have questions or need any of the phone numbers stated here, please call 219-924-7500.
Thank you.
