Qualifications

 

  • Understand troubleshooting Diesel Engine Systems with ECM diagnostic programs and

other troubleshooting techniques.

  • Effectively and efficiently perform PM inspections and services.
  • Able to adjust, repair, and align suspension and braking systems.
  • Repair specialty equipment-wood chipper, leaf vacuums, pothole machines, street sweepers, snowplows etc.
  • Flexible work hours, able to lift 50 lbs, be dependable, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Must be able to cut metal with oxyacetylene torch, band saw, and hand tools.
  • Must be able to weld via MIG, stick to fabricating new parts or to do machine repairs.
  • Maintain repair records and respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Service and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ experience.
  • Class B CDL with tanker endorsement or willing to obtain within 3 months.
  • Certified Diesel mechanics preferred.
  • Must be available for Emergency after hour call outs and assist with Snow Plowing and Water/Sewer Leaks
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, including drug screen.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

          

 

Pay/Benefits

  • Full Time Position with Health Insurance, Pension and Paid Vacation and Personal/Sicks Days
  • Monday-Friday-except for Emergency call outs.
  • 8-hour shift
  • Pay-$25-$30 an hour.
  • Union Position- Teamsters Local 142
