 OBSERVED HOLIDAYS FOR REFUSE COLLECTION 

Refuse collection is on Thursdays with the exception of Holiday weeks. There are SIX HOLIDAYS that will affect trash collection this year. They are: MEMORIAL DAY, LABOR DAY, 4TH OF JULY, THANKSGIVING DAY, CHRISTMAS DAY AND NEW YEARS DAY. Collection will be on Friday of these weeks. Refuse is to be placed out for collection no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the day prior to collection. Please separate trash from recyclables.  

 

LARGE ITEM DISPOSAL  

Republic Services will collect a limited amount of bulk items with regular refuse. One large item per week (furniture, appliances, etc.) will be collected. Please remember that all wood and carpeting must be cut in 4 foot lengths, bundled and weighing no more than 50 pounds. Please call the Department of Public Works prior to Thursday collection at 924-3838 for disposal of electronics, such as, televisions and computers.   

 

SPRING CLEAN UP  

Republic Services will hold their annual “Spring Clean Up” on Thursday, May 23rd. This allows residents to place an unlimited amount of trash out for collection. However, tires, concrete, roofing shingles and hazardous materials will not be accepted. For items containing CFC’s please contact Republic Services prior to Monday, May 20th to insure proper disposal. As stated above, all refuse must be contained or bundled weighing no more than 50 pounds. Republic Services will not collect trash in boxes.  Please place all small items in a can or bag.

GRASS & SMALL BRANCH COLLECTION  

Republic Services will collect all grass clippings and small branches with your trash on Thursday. Please place all grass clippings and branches in your blue container with your regular household waste. Blue containers MUST be full prior to using additional bags or cans. Additional grass and branches may be put in either cans or bags (paper or plastic) and placed next to your blue container weighing no more than 50 pounds each. NO LEAVES are to be placed in blue containers
