How do I report emergency and non-emergency public safety concerns?

Like most communities in Lake County, all public safety communications in Griffith are processed through the consolidated call center of Lake County 911.  Citizens are encouraged to dial 9-1-1 to report public safety needs in Griffith, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The “non-emergency” phone number, or the number to utilize if you are calling from outside of Lake County, is (219) 660-0000.  If you are unable to make a voice call to report your public safety concern, you may send text messages to 911 utilizing the Center’s Text-to-911 system.   Information regarding public safety concerns that do not require an immediate response may be reported to the PD anonymously by calling (219) 922-3085
